A 55 -year -old man was arrested and indicted Thursday, June 20, because suspected of having bought and viewed rape of children in Colombia, via a “livestreaming” platform, learned Le Figaro From the Paris prosecutor’s office, confirming information from Franceinfo.
The investigations, entrusted to the Office of Minors (OFMIN), took place in conjunction with the Colombian authorities, allowing, in addition to the arrest of this French, those of the alleged authors of rapes in Colombia, but also of intermediaries, specifies the Paris prosecutor’s office in a press release, on June 21. The victims were able to be sheltered on June 16. It was also thanks to the competition of a liaison magistrate in Colombia that the investigation could be carried out at its end. “The prosecution welcomes this success in international mutual aid”indicates the prosecution.
30,000 euros in transactions
Arrested in France, the suspect is now implicated for “complicity in the trafficking of human beings with regard to minors victims of 15 years of rape”, “rapes and sexual assaults on minors” and of rape instigation, without this having been followed by effect.
The survey had started following reports from the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
