WhatsApp adds a functionality entitled “Summarie messages” which allows you to summarize non -read messages. Costed messaging takes great care to reassure its users on private data processing.

The idea is simple: Summaria messages, this is the small name of this new option, uses Meta AI to summarize unrelated messages in a WhatsApp conversation. As shown in a GIF shared by the messaging application on its blog, the option is simply triggered by clicking on the small window indicating the number of non -read messages.
After summarizing the conversation, rest assured, you can always consult the various messages sent to the more detail conversation. But you will have before that a short summary in a few points.
How does it work and what about private data?
Of course, such a functionality in an end-to-end email immediately raises the question of data and respect for the privacy of the user-orient. Meta anticipates the question by explaining the following points in his communication:
“Message summaries use Private Processing technology, which allows Meta AI to generate an answer without Meta or Whatsapp never seeing your messages or private summaries. No one else can see that you have summarized unrelated messages. This means that your privacy is protected at any time. »»

And to reassure its users well, WhatsApp has taken care not to activate its new functionality by default. This must be activated in the parameters. You will even have to specify which conversations can be summarized by AI. Whatsapp plays security, and that’s good.
We do not know for the moment when this feature is integrated. It is a safe bet that Europe should wait a little more than the United States, the time to adapt it to the legislation of the old continent.
