Immediately after the American strikes on Iranian nuclear installations, a telephone call for four was held between President Donald Trump, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Minister Ron Dermer. According to Israel Hayomthe four leaders were “euphoric” in the face of the results of the B-2 bombers operation.
A five -part plan
Enthusiasm was not only focused on the military aspect, but also to their vision of the future. Trump and Netanyahu have agreed the following principles:
End of war in Gaza : War would end in the two weeks. Four Arab countries, including Egypt and the Emirates, would govern the Gaza Strip instead of Hamas. The remaining leaders of Hamas would be exiled and the hostages released.
Emigration : Several countries would welcome Gazaouis wishing to emigrate.
Extension of Abraham agreements : Syria, Saudi Arabia and other Arab nations would recognize Israel.
Two -state solution : Israel would accept this principle for the future, conditioned on reforms of the Palestinian authority.
Sovereignty in Judea-Samaria : The United States would recognize a certain Israeli sovereignty in Judea-Samaria.
Pressures and tension
This vision explains Trump’s anger after the new Israeli strikes post-sometimes-fire with Iran. The American president would have asked Netanyahu “to arrest planes”, considering incomprehensible to compromise this strategic plan for “a small tactical Iranian missile incident”.
Trump’s call to cancel the Netanyahu’s trial is part of this logic: to release the Prime Minister to fully devote himself to this vision of peace.
