Pixel Buds 2A: What we know about the new entry -level headphones Google

On August 20, on the occasion of the launch of its range of 2025 smartphones, Google will present its new entry -level headphones. Called Pixel Buds 2A, they occur four years after their successors Pixel Buds A-SERIES, that is to say a particularly long renewal period compared to competition.

15 days before their launch, an official visual of the Pixel Buds 2A was revealed by the Android Headlines. The least we can say is that this new iteration does not seem to revolutionize the aesthetics of its elder. We can nevertheless detect some differences, such as a slightly rounder and smaller load box than that of its predecessor.

The interior of the case was of course redesigned to accommodate revisited design headphones. Indeed, according to the clichés, the Pixel Buds 2A seem to abandon the prominent stabilization fins of their elders. It could simply be that Google has chosen to make them more discreet, like those of the Pixel Buds Pro 2. It would not be surprising either that the Pixel Buds 2A was slightly miniaturized.

It is also noted that the grids housing the microphones have been extended. In addition, the latter now adopt a black finish, while the Pixel Buds A-Series and Pixel Buds Pro 2 both include grids whose color is matching their finishes. The Pixel Buds 2A will be offered in three new colors: Iris, Strawberry and Fog Light.

Finally noise reduction on google entry -level headphones?

According to Android Headlinesthe new Google headphones could also benefit from a larger autonomy. A good point, knowing that that of the previous generation was limited to 5 hours (without ANC). Above all, we hope that the brand has taken care to equip them with a noise reduction system and review their sound signature. Indeed, to date, the biggest defect of the Pixel headphones remains their particularly hard sound restitution in high-medium and slightly timid bass.

The technical characteristics of the Pixel Buds 2A are currently unknown. We can obviously expect improvements on the majority of them, perhaps even enough to cut the Pixel Buds Pro 2.
