Three of the five heifers who escaped on Wednesday in Bure were found. The animals that belong Karine and Frédéric Minder were taken over Thursday in neighboring France, about two kilometers from their Tenier farm. Karine Minder explains that the three cattle could be located thanks to a French farmer friend and a resident of the village of Cross, located just on the other side of the border, who saw them on the edge of the forest. The animals were then brought back to the fold. The last two heifers are not found. They could hide in the forest, “in the area of the military land of the Place d’Armes, between Fahy, Courtedoux and Bure”, according to Karine Minder. Research continues to try to locate them. A call to the population was launched on Thursday to find the five animals that had managed to leave their enclosure the day before. Contacts were made with the Jura police and a drone of the association “SOS Sauvons les Faons” was also used to find their traces.
