Groups of the Jewish community previously excluded by Pride Montreal are again invited to participate in the parade to be held on Sunday.

The Consultative Center for Jewish and Israeli Relations (CIJA) confirmed this decision -making reversal following discussions with the new chairmanship of the Board of Directors of Pride Montreal.
“The Quebec Jewish community is happy to be able to put this incident behind it,” said the statement published on Tuesday.
During the discussions, Pride Montreal reaffirmed its position against anti -Semitism and reiterated that each community is welcome to participate in its events.
Pride Montreal therefore apologized to the Jewish community and 2elgbtqia+ Quebec Jewish people who felt rejected following the decision to exclude them from the parade.
“The organization is committed to improving its internal complaint management processes to prevent a situation like this to happen again and communities feel excluded from its festivities in the future,” said Montreal pride, in a press release.
Accepted apologies, the Cija now invites all members of the Jewish community of Montreal, especially the members 2elgbtqia+, to join them and take part in the parade of pride, from which they had been originally expelled on July 30.
Pride Montreal had sent emails last week to the Cija and the organization Le Ga’ava – LGBTQ+ Jew group to notify them of their exclusion from the parade.
The presidency of the festival notably criticized these Jewish organizations for having had hateful remarks related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
