Nintendo alert on the use of switch in the event of a heat wave
Nintendo issued a warning on the risks of overheating of its devices. She recommends using her consoles between 5 and 35 degrees.

The Nintendo Switch 2, released on June 5 and which experienced an excellent start, seems to know its first difficulties. Indeed, the console of the Japanese firm, just like its big sister, would suffer from heat, relay the French media “20 minutes». So much so that Japanese customer service of the company issued a prevention message on X on 1is august.
“When you use the Nintendo Switch or the Nintendo Switch 2 in a place where the temperature is high, the temperature of the console can increase,” explains the firm. This overheating can lead to “dysfunctions”.
Nintendo therefore recommends that its customers use the consoles “in a place where the temperature is between 5 and 35 degrees”. It calls for vigilance in view of the extremely high temperatures recorded in Japan in recent days.
Users complain about it
Indeed, the country recorded the highest temperature in its history on Tuesday, August 5. In Isesaki, a city located east of the archipelago, mercury went as far as reaching 41.8 degrees. The previous record, reached last Wednesday in Tamba, was 41.2 degrees. Japan had already recorded its hottest months of June and July in its history.
Users had already pointed out these overheating problems in July, report our colleagues. On forums Discussions, dozens of them would have noticed slowdowns of their console or strong ventilation noises while emanating.
