The anti-Linky collective in the Rosporden sector does not take off and denounces a new tax which it deems unfair. “As of August 1, 2025, Enedis, in accordance with a deliberation of the Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE), claims to impose tens of thousands of users who, like us, have refused for several years the installation of the Linky meter, additional costs which will be added to our electricity bill”, inform the members of the collective who dispute this tax. According to them, “it is punitive and has no justification”.
Based on a 2024 report of the Court of Auditors, the collective estimates that their persistent refusal of installation of the meters is largely founded. According to its members, “the report has shown that the rebounds of former counters in perfect working order and their replacement by unreliable Linky meters have not enabled the expected results, namely substantial savings and benefits especially for Enedis, no reduction in their invoice for consumers, as well as a limited impact on consumption control and energy efficiency”.
Costs generated
According to Enedis, unquirial customers (1.7 million customers) of a Linky counter “generates specific costs”. They must therefore now pay a tax of € 6.48 excl. Tax (or € 7.78 including tax), billed every two months. At the same time, customers who do not communicate in Enedis their consumption indexes will be imposed on an increase of € 4.14 excl. Tax (or € 4.97 including tax) invoiced every two months. “And this, to cover the additional costs, then this amount will follow the annual tariff developments”, justifies the electricity supplier.
