Three days after the end of the ceasefire with Iran, Tsahal published on Friday morning the assessment of the “Réveil du lion” operation which aimed to destroy the nuclear program and the ballistic missiles of the Islamic Republic. Meticulous preparations that started years ago until the discovery of Israel’s destruction plan by the mullahs regime, including the opening strike that tipped the balance and the attack on the main nuclear sites.
TSAHAL had recommended to launch the operation at that time, faced with the approach of the point of no return in the evolution of the Iranian threat and to the optimal preparation of TSAHAL for the action: “All expectations would mean that we could perhaps no longer eliminate the threat thereafter”.
L’offensive surprise
On June 13, 2025, TSAhal opened the operation with a surprise and strategic opening strike, 1,500 kilometers from Israeli territory. This attack has severely damaged the Iranian regime’s command and control systems, eliminated critical nuclear scientists to the development of the program and simultaneously destroy its air defense capacities, in order to allow freedom of air action in the Air Force. It has been established that TSAhal has fully reached, and even beyond expectations, all the objectives and goals set.
The elimination of the “hive” of leadership – Thanks to the precise information of the military intelligence service and the capacities of the Air Force, the IDF forces simultaneously eliminated 30 senior officials of the security chain of the Iranian regime and nine nuclear scientists. This opening point compromised the enemy’s ability to react in the early hours.
The information that led to the operation
The nuclear program: Over time, intelligence indications have accumulated, according to which the Iranian regime accelerated its progress on the armament axis, in parallel with the continuation of the enrichment of uranium at high levels (60%) on a large scale, in sufficient quantity to enrich fissile equipment at a military level for several nuclear bombs in a short time.
Among the indications: The intelligence service has identified a secret plan of the Iranian regime led by high -level Iranian nuclear scientists to create the components necessary for nuclear weapons. As part of the program, experiences, research and developments have been conducted secretly in the required areas. The progress of the program has brought the Iranian regime very close to the production of nuclear weapons in the event of a decision, and the acquisition of a capacity for mass destruction.
The threat of missiles: In recent months, the Iranian regime planned to triple the pace of production of its missiles and increase its stock of missiles by around 2,500 to around 8,000 precision missiles in two years. The achievement of such a quantity would have enabled considerable damage, even constituting an existential threat to the State of Israel.
Israel’s destruction plan: The Iranian regime had planned and promoted a real plan aimed at “destroying Israel”. A multi-front attack starting with a ballistic missile attack from Iran and all its agents in the region, followed by a massive land invasion by militia forces through the borders with Israel.
The results of the operation
Air superiority in the Iranian sky
• The Air Force has made more than 1,500 outings
• Air superiority has been created, opening the way to Tehran more than 2,000 kilometers away
• The Air Force attacked more than 900 targets throughout Iran and more than 1,500 components
• About 370 attacks were carried out by fighter planes
• TSAhal forces have destroyed approximately 80 soil-to-air missile systems on approximately 100 systems in operating areas
• More than 600 flight supplies were made on the way to Iran
• The most distant fighter plane attack was carried out at Mashhad airport, about 2,400 kilometers from Israeli territory
Targets destroyed during the operation:
• About 200 launching ramps of soil-to-ground missiles representing almost 50% of all the ramps in the Iranian diet
• About 80 launching ramps for floor-to-air missiles
• 15 planes from the Iranian regime

• More than 35 short and medium -range missile production sites

Impact on the nuclear program
TSAhal forces have imposed significant damage to the ability of the Iranian regime to develop nuclear weapons:
• Attack of uranium enrichment sites
• Destruction of the Ispahan conversion site
• Attack of the inactive nuclear reactor of Arak
• Elimination of 11 high -level nuclear scientists
• Destruction of thousands of centrifuge and production sites
Eliminations assessment
More than 30 senior officials from the Iranian security system and hundreds of soldiers from the Iranian armies were eliminated. During the opening strike, the three highest commanders of the security summit of the diet were eliminated alongside several other commanders.
Strategic conclusion
