Sanofi will sell its Maison-Alfort factory, a new stage in the group’s restructuring in France

Sanofi continues cleaning in its French sites. After the announcement, in March, of the project to sell its Amilly factory (Loiret), which notably manufactures ASPégic and Kardegic, the pharmaceutical laboratory is preparing to sell another of its production sites in France, the Maison-Alfort factory, located in Val-de-Marne, which employs nearly 600 people.

Announced to unions at the start of the week of June 23, the sales project must be formalized to employees on Tuesday 1is July, during a meeting between management and staff representatives. Sanofi must unveil the name of the future factory buyer, a wealth of German origin. The group plans to conclude the sale during the fall.

If the future of the site has already been worried for several months the employees, who judged, after the announcement of the sale of the Amilly factory, that Maisons-Alfort would be one of the next on the list, the decision was nonetheless surprised. “Until now, management told us that it was thinking about a solution for this site, but it had never openly indicated that a sale was privileged », Landers Fabien Mallet, CGT coordinator in Sanofi.
