More and more students are regularly away from school for several days, or even several weeks, alerts teacher associations in German -speaking Switzerland and French -speaking Switzerland on Thursday. They are now claiming measures.
(Keystone-ATS) School absenteeism goes far beyond the simple fact of drying the courses, said Thursday the umbrella association of German-speaking teachers (LCH) and the Syndicat des Teachers Romand-Es (SER). They also presented their claims at a press conference in Bern.
For them, a whole series of measures are necessary as an early alert system and the establishment of a relationship of trust between the teacher and the child. It is also important to recognize the first warning signs such as physical disorders.
For LCH and SER, it is also necessary to involve not only teachers and other professionals such as school psychologists or medical staff, but also parents.
