According to a study, this is why people born in summer are more likely to develop this disease

Our health is often the result of our genes but also, and above all, our way of life. Playing sports, having a balanced diet or not smoke Nor drinking has an impact on our long -term health. In this study, published in the journal PLOS Mental HealthCanadian researchers have asked themselves the question. Thus, research suggests a surprising link between the season of our birth and the risk of developing certain disorders, such as depression, for example (source 1).

What does the study say?

To carry out their work, scientists have recruited more than 300 participants, aged 26 years old. Each of them answered questionnaires aimed at assess their mental healththeir variations d’humeuR and their anxious symptoms. Subsequently, the researchers analyzed the data, ensuring that factors such as age, sex or income did not fausse the results.

“The birth season exposes the fetus to varying environmental and developmental conditions, which can influence health matters after birth,” they explain in their study.
