Zelensky says that “concessions” will not convince Russia to stop war

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on Monday not to give in to the requirements of Vladimir Putin, before a summit scheduled for Friday between the Russian president and his American counterpart Donald Trump in Alaska.

Ukraine fears that this meeting, scheduled for the time being without the participation of Volodymyr Zelensky, will lead to an agreement which would force her to give up parts of her territory to Russia.

“Russia refuses to stop the massacres and must therefore not receive rewards or advantages. And it’s not just a moral position, it’s a rational position, “said Volodymyr Zelensky on Facebook.

“The concessions do not persuade a killer,” he added.

EU’s foreign ministers hold emergency discussions on Monday to grant their violins before the meeting between MM. Trump and Putin, fearing that any agreement concluded without Ukraine, forcing unacceptable compromises.

Donald Trump, who had promised to settle the Ukrainian conflict in 24 hours on his return to the White House, has shown growing impatience in recent weeks when Russia has intensified its Ukraine bombings in recent months.

The Russian Defense Ministry claimed on Monday taking a new village in the Ukrainian Donetsk (East) region, the town of Fedorivka.

It is located northeast of Pokrovsk and Myrnograd, cities threatened with encirclement due to the continuous advance of Russian troops in this sector for more than a month.

The Ukrainian Security Services (SBU) have told AFP that they have struck a factory that “produces components” for Russian cruise missiles, located in the Nijni Novgorod region, in Russia, east of Moscow.

The SBU said that at least four of its long -range drones had “touched the factory”.
