The music of Twelve Foot Ninja briefly disappeared from streaming platforms, causing the astonishment of fans – a withdrawal deemed absurd, even suspect, by guitarist Stevic Mackay.
A voluntary disappearance, but always unexplained
Since June 19, several fans have noticed that the songs of Twelve Foot Ninja were no longer available on certain streaming platforms. The guitarist Stevic Mackay quickly reacted on social networks: “The music of Twelve Foot Ninja has been withdrawn from streaming services. In my opinion non -defamatory, it is a frankly stupid decision that only bothers fans.”
According to him, it is not a technical error or an administrative oblivion: “It is not an administrative error”he specifies, while claiming not having received any prior notification. He puts forward the hypothesis of a dispute between their current distributor and Universal, involved in a legal case at $ 500 million for copyright violation. “Maybe they are stressed? Anyway, I take care of it”he adds, visibly annoyed.
Good news, however: the groups of the group seem to have been put online since.
A group still in break, but not forgotten
Twelve Foot Ninja has been in break since 2022, after the departure of its singer Nik “Kin Etik” Barker. The group had marked this suspension with the release of a last acoustic album, Mutant Dreams & Face Transplantspublished at the end of 2024 vinyl and digital version exclusively on their official website. This project served as an artistic goodbye, in a style that is both sober and personal.
Even back, Twelve Foot Ninja therefore continues to draw attention, and its fans remain on the lookout for the slightest movement. It remains to be seen if this new episode will be followed by a more concrete return (one day).
