Many sectors of the province are targeted by a luster of violent thunderstorms issued by Environment Canada for Wednesday afternoon and early in the evening.
The federal agency warns that the conditions are conducive to the formation of “dangerous thunderstorms that can produce very strong gusts, large hail and strong rain”, also noting a low risk of tornado.
“Nautical activities could prove dangerous due to violent and sudden gusts on the water bodies,” said one.
The meteorological opinion notably affects Montérégie, Estrie, Chaudière-Appalaches, Center-du-Québec and Laurentides.
