The boy who struck a sixty-something in the diving pit of the Mélèzes swimming pool on Tuesday in La Chaux-de-Fonds, causing his death, was identified and heard by the police. Eight years, the child will not be exposed to criminal justice.
“Following the call for witnesses, the child’s family contacted the police,” the Neuchâtelois prosecutor Nicolas Feuz said on Thursday. He added that “the work of the Bath Guards does not at all lend the flank to the criticism at this stage of the investigation. The intervention was rapid”.
According to the city of La Chaux-de-Fonds, the workforce of the supervisors was complete at the time of the accident. The person in charge of surveillance of the diver has, as soon as the accident occurs, alerted their colleagues by radio and plunged into the pool in order to rescue the victim.

Attendance peak not reached
The watchmaker is currently unable to give the number of visitors during the drama, but it indicated that the attendance peak was not reached. “Tuesday was not a day of very strong crowds,” said Thierry Brechbühler, municipal councilor in charge of SSports, confirming Arcinfo information.
The Chaux-de-Fonnières authorities, upset by this drama, called on the municipal doctor to provide support for the swimming pool staff as well as close to the deceased.
The 67-year-old man died while he was in the diving area, after he himself had a dive. A child unfortunately landed on him shortly after, having jumped from the five -meter diver. Seriously injured, the sixty -something man died on the spot from his injuries.
