Since this Friday, August 15, Stellantis recalls several models of Peugeot 308 manufactured between 2015 and 2019 due to a defect in seat belt anchors, which can compromise passenger safety.
Problems do not seem to finish for Stellantis. After the Takaka airbags scandal or even the misadventures of the PureTech 1.2 engine, this time, the Peugeot 308 are concerned.
According to CONSO REMINDERsome of them would represent a danger once the engine is on.
“The rear seat belt anchors may not resist the impact of the force enough. This could limit the ability of the retractor to hold a passenger in the event of an accident resulting in injuries”explains the government site this Friday, August 15.
The homologation numbers of the models are: E2*2007/46*0405*04,*06-*09,*11-*13,*15-*26. This number can be viewed on the registration card, K. Useful Case to check if your vehicle is concerned.
Between 2015 and 2019
The models targeted by these problems are those designed between October 12, 2015 and February 1, 2019. Motorists concerned by this reminder must therefore contact their dealer in order to obtain the necessary information on the procedures to follow.
As a reminder, from the start of the school year, the diamond brand will also recall vehicles. More than 150,000 vehicles will normally be concerned with 1.6 hybrid or “full hybrid e-tech” engines for failures, according to theAuto Journal.
