Unusual – often Coldcase’s affairs never find a resolution, however, it is sometimes just a stroke of luck to resolve one. This is the case of Brody Loch and his friend who, who left to fish on the banks of the Mississippi, brought the key element to resolve a 60 -year -old case.

On the weekend of August 9, the two men then came across a fully submerged car, reports the American press and in particular CNN. After warning the authorities, divers teams and a tow truck intervened in the town of Sartell in order to tow the vehicle. Inside, human remains are discovered by investigators.

Thanks to the vehicle identification number, the car owner could be identified. It would be Roy Benn, a 59 -year -old man who has disappeared since … 1967. The authorities have transmitted the carcass of the car to the office of a medical examiner for an identification. However, in view of the objects present in the car, the sheriff’s office assumes that it is indeed the owner of the vehicle, presumed dead since 1975.

A case resolved 100 % thanks to luck

Roy Benn owned an appliance repair service store in St Cloud in Minnesota, according to archives of the St. Cloud Daily Times examined by CNN. He who had lost his wife a year rather had mysteriously disappeared in September 1967 with “ a large sum of money ”, As indicated by this disappeared persons research report published by the Minnesota Public Security Department.

Brody Loch, at the origin of the discovery, told Minneapolis Wcco whom he hoped that Benn’s family could finally have concrete answers on what had happened to him. “It was a question of 100 %luck. If my boyfriend had not caught this golden (fish), we would have continued to float (on the river) and would never have found it ”, he concludes.
