The National Police of Martinique launched a call for witnesses concerning possible romantic and / or intimate relationships between a professor of physics and chemistry and students in several establishments on the island between 2003 and 2025.
The Protection Group of the Fort-de-France police station is currently conducting investigations within the framework of judicial information. The objective is to determine the existence of “romantic or intimate relationships between a professor of physics and chemistry and students” in the following establishments:
- Collège du Vauclin, between 2003 and 2004
- Collège Vincent Placoly in Schoelcher, between 2004 and 2008
- Bellevue high school in Fort-de-France, between 2008 and 2025
The national police invite anyone who has had this type of relationship, or knowing a member of their entourage concerned, to contact the family protection group.

In April 2025, calls for testimonies from students who have undergone sexual assault on the part of a teacher from the Bellevue high school had already circulated on social networks.
