Police seek testimonials from students who have had “romantic and intimate relationships” with a professor of physics-chemistry

The National Police of Martinique launched a call for witnesses concerning possible romantic and / or intimate relationships between a professor of physics and chemistry and students in several establishments on the island between 2003 and 2025.

The Protection Group of the Fort-de-France police station is currently conducting investigations within the framework of judicial information. The objective is to determine the existence of “romantic or intimate relationships between a professor of physics and chemistry and students” in the following establishments:

  • Collège du Vauclin, between 2003 and 2004
  • Collège Vincent Placoly in Schoelcher, between 2004 and 2008
  • Bellevue high school in Fort-de-France, between 2008 and 2025

The national police invite anyone who has had this type of relationship, or knowing a member of their entourage concerned, to contact the family protection group.

Witnesses can attach the police services to the following numbers: 0596.59.40.42 or 0596.59.40.17, or by email at the address: [email protected].

In April 2025, calls for testimonies from students who have undergone sexual assault on the part of a teacher from the Bellevue high school had already circulated on social networks.
