The art of the American president has struck again. Last week, an amazing announcement came from the White House. NVIDIA and its Rivale AMD will be able to resume the marketing of their Bridée Puces, the H20 for NVIDIA and the MI308 for AMD, which had been prohibited in April by the Trump administration for national security reasons.
In exchange, the two companies undertake to donate 15 % of their turnover generated in the Middle Empire in order to replenish the funds of the American state. An obole which allows them to bypass restrictions, which are however put in place by invoking a danger to national security.
Before Trump prohibited the export of the H20 chip in April, Nvidia generated approximately 7.1 billion turnover per quarter thanks to the sale of these chips in the Middle Kingdom. The new agreement signed by Donald Trump therefore means, assuming that these figures remain stable, that the American state could now pocket a billion dollars per quarter only thanks to Nvidia.
