A robbery took place at the BVLGARI luxury jewelry, located on the Croisette in Cannes (Alpes-Maritimes), this Monday, August 18. The security officer was injured and the criminal was under control by passers -by, before being arrested by the municipal police. An accomplice fled on a scooter, according to the first elements.
Around 10:50 am, several shots were fired in front of the jewelry. The security officer interposed and was injured in the nose during his intervention. The robber was then placed on the ground by passers -by, according to several testimonies collected on site, confirming information from BFM Côte d’Azur.
Municipal police intervened within two minutes of the alert. The civil servants arrested the aggressor.
Cases corresponding to the shots were discovered by the investigators during their findings and the weapon was seized on the spot. An accomplice of the robber would have fled on a Yamaha Tmax type scooter.
The judicial police and the firefighters went there. The police of the Interdepartmental Service of the Judicial Police (SIPJ) were responsible for investigations.
