A Miss Palestine will participate in Miss Universe, a first in the history of the competition

Nadeen Ayoub will be the first candidate in the history of Miss Universe to represent Palestine during the 2025 edition of the competition, scheduled for November 21 in Thailand.

A historical and symbolic participation. For the first time in the history of Miss Universe, Palestine will be represented by a candidate, Nadeen Ayoub, during the 2025 edition of the competition, scheduled for November 21 in Thailand.

“The Miss Universe organization is proud to welcome delegates from around the world, celebrating diversity, cultural exchanges and the emancipation of women,” the competition organizers said in a statement sent to the American media CNN.

“Nadeen Ayoub, an activist and accomplished model from Palestine, embodies the resilience and the determination that defines our platform,” they added.

“I carry the voice of a people”

27 years old, Nadeen Ayoub, who grew up between Palestine, the United States and Canada and who now lives between Dubai and Ramallah, was crowned Miss Palestine in 2022.

The young woman graduated in literature and psychology also created the Olive Green Academy, a training based in Dubai to help the creation of content on climatic issues and artificial intelligence.

On Instagram, Nadeen Ayoub welcomed his selection to Miss Universe, wishing to be, via his candidacy, a spokesperson for the Palestinian people.

“While Palestine endures atrocious sufferings, especially in Gaza, I carry the voice of a people who refuse to be reduced to silence. I represent all the women and all the Palestinian children whose strength must be seen by the whole world,” she assured on Instagram.

“We are more than our sufferings: we are the resilience, the hope and the beating heart of a homeland that continues to live through us,” she added.

Nadeen Ayoub thus joins the more than 130 candidates who will compete during the 74th edition of Miss Universe, on November 21 in Bangkok, Thailand. In 2024, it was Miss Denmark, Victoria Kjær Theilvig, who won the crown. The French Indira Ampiot had finished in the Top 30.
