The Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Honorable Anita Anand, concluded her visit to Helsinki, Finland, where she strengthened Canada’s ties with her Nordic partners and advances transatlantic cooperation in order to achieve the objectives of Canada in connection with her foreign policy for the Arctic.
During her visit. Nevertheless, Minister Anand met the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland, Elina Valtonen, and announced the establishment of a strategic partnership between Canada and Finland in matters of foreign policy and security. Therefore, This initiative reflects the engagement of the two countries to deepen their bilateral cooperation. to advance their joint efforts in the fields of transatlantic security, cyberrerece, multilateralism, democracy, climate action and free trade, and to promote their common values in the North Atlantic regions.
