Wondering how to celebrate the Canada 2025 festival in Montreal now that the parade has been canceled for a second consecutive year?
On July 1, Montrealers gathered in the Old Port to celebrate Canada’s Day.
Do not miss the very first walk “Le Canada En Marche” through the streets of Old Montreal!
Meet at 11:30 a.m. at Place d’Armes for the start of the festivities at noon.
It is not a parade, but walking officially starts at 12:30 p.m. and ends at 1 p.m. at the Clock Quai, just in time for the Salves of Honor of the Canadian Armed Forces and the citizenship ceremony for new Canadians.
Remember to take a small Canadian flag!
The Urban Science Brass Band group, a unique hip-hop training mixing groove from New Orleans and rap energy, will ensure the musical atmosphere along the route.
Once in the Old Port, expect street cooking trucks, children’s activities, percussion services signed Samajam, an adrenaline area for skateboarding and scooters, creative workshops, and much more-mini free cupcakes included!
