Apple would fully integrate chatgpt into the iPhone to boost Siri

Siri’s IA capabilities, announced with iOS 18, are struggling to arrive on iPhone. Apple also announced at the start of 2025 that it has shifted their launch next year. However, a solution would have been found, and more precisely a partnership with two well -known models: Chatgpt (Openai) and Claude (Anthropic).

Siri sous Ia needs big arms, chatgpt and claude at the rescue

Quickly mentioned during WWDC 2025, the new Siri is struggling to arrive due to significant development problems. A substantial problem for Apple, which accuses considerable delay in the competition on the smartphone market.

While progress was recently mentioned, with a model at the height of Chatgpt, Apple’s strategy is still uncertain. Mark Gurman shared that the apple firm was in discussion with Openai and Anthropic to deeply integrate their solutions into the iPhone.

The two entities would also work on versions of their models – Chatgpt and Claude – which would work with the servers Private Cloud Compute. Apple would use them to test a potential integration into Siri, although no decision has yet resulted.

The objective thus seems clear: to integrate the best model of language in Siri. The journalist from Bloomberg explains that Claude d’Anthropic would best correspond to the vocal assistant of the iPhone. However, the company would request an annual commission of several billion dollars in Apple, which would increase over time.

Apple would thus reflect to intensify its partnership with Openai, and therefore Chatgpt, to save money. This would allow him the passage to enjoy the headliner of the generative AI, with a name that everyone knows – perfect for the general public.

Other solutions to quickly catch up in AI

Apple would also plan to acquire Perplexity to strengthen in the field of AI. “She also had brief discussions with Thinking Machines Lab, the IA startup founded by Mira Murati, the former director of Openai technology”explains Mark Gurman.

Now remains to wait to know the end of the story: an overpowered SIRI propelled by a homemade language model or by a third -party solution. One thing remains certain, however, Apple has a significant delay to catch up to stand out against Samsung, Google and Company.

The more time passes, the more the company is delaying in the field of AI, which harms its brand image with investors and users – thus leaving to hope for a rapid, concrete and impactful response.
