This decision comes at a time when Ukraine faces an intensification of Russian air attacks.
The number of long-range drones launched by Russia thus experienced in June an increase of 36.8% over a month, according to an AFP analysis established on Tuesday, attacks putting the anti-aircraft defenses and an exhausted civilian population, and while the talks between kyiv and Moscow for a ceasefire are in the end.
The American decision follows, according to the American press, to Pentagon concerns about the reserves of the American army, from which American military aid is directly deducted from Ukraine.

So far and despite the conflictual relationship with kyiv, the government of Donald Trump continued, at least partially, the military aid initiated under Joe Biden. Under the latter’s mandate, the United States has provided more than $ 60 billion in military aid to kyiv.
This interruption comes a few days after a meeting between Donald Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky in Hague.
