ValaisThe army finished in time the bridge that releases Lurtier
In Valais, the Swiss army has finished in time the fifty -meter bridge which gives residents of mobility.
The 52 -meter bridge which allows the inhabitants of Lurtier to find a certain mobility.
Bonnardot/State of ValaisThis morning, at 6 a.m., the military bridge which connects the town of Lourtier to the Val de Bagnes (VS) was opened with alternate traffic. “The official presentation of the military bridge by the army in the canton took place on Tuesday July 1 at 6 pm”. This provisional infrastructure will connect the Fregnoley to Lourtier and will be operational until November 30, 2025.
This registration comes a month after the new torrential lavas of June 2 and the following days, which caused significant damage in the Fregnolatey sector and carried away “the fuse bridge” installed last year by the State of Valais.
“The assembly of the book, carried out by soldiers in long service, ended on Friday June 27, notes a statement from the State of Valais. The operations continued the next day with the installation of 600 tonnes of serious and the implementation of access ramps ”.
This bridge is provided for temporary use, because it is “sensitive to snow removal salt”, and will therefore have to be dismantled before winter. Meanwhile, the canton of Valais will install a new “fuse” type work upstream of the military bridge, intended initially to serve access to different sites.
When the military bridge is dismantled, this fuse bridge will be open to traffic, pending the commissioning of a gallery which should secure access to the village of Lurtier in a more sustainable manner.
