Four people placed in police custody

A video published on social networks showed a man violently hitting a woman on the ground as well as two other victims, who filed a complaint.

Four people were placed in police custody this Wednesday, July 2 after the assault of a woman during the Music Festival in Paris on June 21, learned BFMTV from the Paris prosecutor’s office, confirming information from RTL. They were all born in Île-de-France between 1997 and 2003.

The territorial security of Paris had opened an investigation after the broadcast of a video on social networks showing a man in a blue t-shirt violently strike a woman on the ground during the music festival.

Identified thanks to the exploitation of telephone lines

The exploitation of the video revealed that this man with a blue t-shirt had a blow to a man already on the ground. While a woman was trying to intervene, she was violently thrown to the ground by a second man carrying a PSG t-shirt and a third man with a treble t-shirt.

The man with a blue t-shirt then kicked him in the face, and the man with the PSG t-shirt had torn off his bag, who was then recovered by a fourth man with a gray t-shirt. Meanwhile, the man with the blue t-shirt attacked a third victim by puncturing him and then falling to the ground with her.

The three victims were identified and filed a complaint. The first two were recognized 5 days of incapacity for work by the medico-judicial unit.

A phone found on site

Just after the stage, police from the Directorate of Public Order and Traffic (DOPC) had found a mobile phone on the ground. Two of the suspects had returned to the scene indicating that they had dropped their phone, they had been checked and thus identified.

The phone had been returned to them and they had been left free for lack of elements at that time. Thanks to the exploitation of telephone lines, the man with the blue t-shirt and the man with the PSG t-shirt were also identified.
