Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has sworn this Wednesday, July 2 to eliminate “to the root” the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas, which announced to study “proposals” for a cease-fire in Gaza.
A few days before a meeting scheduled in Washington with American president Donald Trump, who presses hostilities, Benjamin Netanyahu assured that there would be no more “Hamastan” in Gaza.
“It’s over. We will release all our hostages and we will eliminate Hamas (…). We will eliminate them to the root,” he insisted.
According to a Palestinian source close to negotiations, the “proposals” received by Hamas from Egyptian mediators and Qataris mention a 60 -day truce during which would be released half of the Israeli hostages still alive in exchange for “a number of Palestinian prisoners.
Donald Trump assures that Israel has accepted a ceasefire
