17 departments still placed in orange alert Thursday and Friday

Although the air has become more breathable on a large part of the country, France has not yet finished with the heat wave. The Rhône-Alpes region, the Mediterranean and Corsica always undergoes high temperatures, with 17 orange heat waves until Friday, said Météo-France, Thursday, July 3.

The departments that remain concerned by orange vigilance are the Rhône, Haute-Savoie, Savoie, Isère, Drôme, Ardèche, Vaucluse, Gard, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Alpes-Maritimes, Var, Bouches-du-Rhône, Hérault, Aude, the Pyrénées-Orientales as well as the two departments of Corse.

“Thursday and Friday, the very strong heat will gradually restrict themselves in the south-eastern quarter of France, where the maximum will reach another 32 to 36 ° C, or even punctually up to 38 ° C”declares the meteorological service in its 6 -hour bulletin.

“At the end of the night, temperatures fell significantly below 20 ° C over one northwest half of the country, while they are still often between 20 and 25 ° C in the south of a La Rochelle-Strasbourg line”add Météo-France.

Most of the territory knew on Wednesday the last day of an episode of heat wave which will remain in the annals by its precocity, its duration and its temperature records.
