In the streaming landscape, there are two types of platforms. Those who only offer their content (such as Disney+), and those that offer not only their catalog, but also those from elsewhere, so as to act as an aggregator. Video and Canal+ premium are part of it.

On this Thursday, July 3, 2025, the first has been inspired by what the second has already offered for a while, namely the free integration of content from France Télévisions and its France.TV streaming service.

France Télévisions invites itself in Prime Video

The Prime Video application allows to consult now easily, and without leaving service, live channels France 2, France 3, France 4, France 5 and France Info. Programs in preview but also in replay are also concerned, including the group’s exclusives.

We are very happy to make France.tv accessible to all premium video users from July 3. With this unprecedented mode of distribution, our group takes a historic step to strengthen the visibility of its public service offer, and thus allow all audiences to find and discover the unique wealth of France.TV on new environments.

The next sporting events are highlighted (Tour de France, World Cup for women’s rugby and Euro women’s football), but also the flagship entertainment of France Télévisions (Intervilles, Drag Race France et Fort Boyard).

And that’s not all: users will also be able to find fictions for all ages (Such a great sun, Peppa Pig, Surface…) and its various shows and documentaries. In total, are concerned “Nearly 20,000 content“Announcement the official press release.

After Max, Paramount+, Ciné+ OCS, Universal+ and MGM+ alongside 43 additional channels, we are delighted to have concluded this agreement and to be able to put the vast catalog of France Télévisions available to all our customers prevails in France. We are constantly looking for new ways to broaden the quality content offer offered to our customers and to confirm Prime Video as the number 1 destination for entertainment.

Christophe Deguine, Managing Director of Prime Video France

To be able to take advantage of the France Télévisions content in Prime Video, no need to pay an additional subscription like for Max or Paramount+. It will still be necessary to have a subscription to the Amazon platform, billed at least 6.99 euros per month (or € 69.90/year).

The Service of France Télévisions remains for its part of course free via its official website or its application.

This announcement arrives a few weeks after the formalization of the rapprochement between Netflix and TF1. The streaming giant will indeed host the programs of the first French channel from the summer of 2026, which marks one more stage between historic French channels and streaming plates.
