Urgent maintenance work will take place from July 7 to 11 on the main road H10 between Rochefort and Bregot, according to a press release from the canton of Neuchâtel published this Thursday. These interventions aim to guarantee the safety of users and users as well as the sustainability of the coating during the next two or three winters. The sector concerned has daily traffic by 4000 vehicles.
The latest light maintenance work dates back to 2009, i.e. sixteen years ago. They consisted of a cold micro -winding. A complete repair and redevelopment project had been put to the public inquiry in the spring of 2024 with the aim of an achievement this year. This project is currently blocked by oppositions, obliging the service of bridges and roads to undertake this urgent maintenance work.
Speeding closings and limitations
The work will consist in applying various types of superficial coating according to the level of degradation of the treated sector. For the safety of users and users as well as staff on the site, the speed limitation will be lowered to 50 km/h. The roadway will be completely closed for two to three days, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
These interventions being very dependent on weather conditions, they may have to be postponed while awaiting better conditions. The Ponts et Chaussées service asks the users and users to comply with the temporary signaling that will be implemented.
