This afternoon, she highlighted “sabotage”, her new EP where she sees things in doubles: ten songs, five in English and their adaptation in French. In his words written in therapeutic ink, it is a question “bad choice but also healing and remission“. On stage, the young woman addresses her audience in perfect English. Well served by a refined scenography, she alternates Up-Tempo songs (Mirrorthe excellent Systematic, Wasted) and melancholy ballads (the moving Without You, Insecure). The energy is more rock live than on the studio versions, its three musicians go to the essentials, the interpretation is high -flying and the solar smile of Charles makes the rest of the job!

In front of his parents
A few minutes after his performance, Charles still had stars that shone in the eyes. “”It’s completely crazy what happens to me. It is my third participation in this legendary festival and it is every time different. This afternoon, there was a little additional pressure because I opened the festival. This is the first concert that people see and you know there will be lots of others during these four days. So, you want to give everything, to mark the occasion.“
In our opinion, one of the most moments of this inaugural performance was its interpretation full of emotion ofInsecure. “A priori, a calm song in festival, it can be a snack. But calm is also part of my universe. I also wanted to show this facet of my personality to the one who did not know me. In the public, I saw my parents, the parents of my guitarist, fans who follow me at each concert. They gave me lots of energy.“
After his performance, Charles had to give a showcase before enjoying the festival fully. “”I’m going to drink with friends and go to see lots of concerts during these four days : Fontaines DC, Iggy Pop, London Grammar and Raye who is my favorite singer.“
Charles will also be present on July 11 in Lasemo, Enghien, on July 19 at the Francofolies de Spa, on August 1 at Ronquières Festival and August 22 in Solidarities, in Namur.
