Samsung is in the starting blocks, multiplying the display campaigns evoking its next “foldable smartphones”. They will be at least two, formalized during a Galaxy Unpacked event planned in New York on July 9: these are of course Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, successors of a generation 6 launched just a year earlier. But will these terminals be alone on the front of the stage? Not so sure, to believe the planet leak.
It must be said that, since the beginning of 2024, Samsung has been particularly active in the field of “One More Thing” popularized by Apple, during Steve Jobs. The presentation of the Galaxy S24 series welcomed the teasing of its Galaxy Ring ring, that of the Galaxy S25, that of the Galaxy S25 Edge (sold since then, and tested by Digital) and its mixed reality headset under Android VR. Nothing could be more likely, therefore, than expecting a surprise at the end of the UNPACKED which will take place in less than a week. And according to the leaker Jukanlosreve, which is rampant with a certain accuracy, it would concern the first “Tri-Fold” smartphone in the South Korean: the device that we know under the name of Galaxy G Fold.
A Galaxy Z Fold 7 … 10 inch
According to leakerSamsung will start to mass make its folding smartphone in three parts in the month of September, for marketing in small quantities scheduled for the last quarter 2025. It would therefore not be surprising that the manufacturer provides some details about this device called to compete with the Mate XT of Huawei, which met with notable success in China. On the characteristic side, you should expect a 10 -inch screen, in the wake of the Huawei model, but also to a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, without forgetting a photo block inherited from the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
There is no doubt that Samsung is actively working on creating a new smartphone format, its Display division dedicated to screens regularly showing prototypes evoking what G Fold could be. To find out if the device is among the new features that Samsung has in store for us, go on July 9 at 4 p.m., on the Twitch channel Digitalwhich will live with you the conference.
