Major obstacles in Montreal: here are the roads closed this weekend

Users of the metropolitan road network will have to plan their trips at the end of the week, warns Mobility Montreal. Here are the major obstacles in force this weekend.

Honoré-Mercier bridge

Traffic will be in the wrong direction between Montreal and Kahnawake on the Honoré-Mercier bridge, southern, from Friday evening, 11 p.m. until Monday, 5 a.m.

Pont de l’Île-aux-Tourtes

The partial closure of 1 route in 2 on the Pont de l’Île-aux-Tourtes, between Senneville and Vaudreuil-Dorion, will also be in force from Saturday evening, 8 p.m., until Sunday, 10 a.m.

Highway 10 – Sisters’ island sector

The branches for highways 15 South and 20 East, in the direction of Prairie and Varennes as well as on motorway 10 west, in Brossard, will be closed from 11 p.m. Friday. They should reopen respectively at 6 a.m. on Saturday, and 5 a.m. on Monday.

In addition, the branch to the city center, at the end of the Samuel-de Champlain bridge, will be inaccessible from Friday night until 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Highway 10 will be completely closed between exit 4 (A-15, A-20) and the Samuel-de Champlain bridge.

Ditto for access from the northern tip of the sisters Island to the Bonaventure highway towards the city center, closed for a period of two months from 11 p.m. Friday.

Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel

The Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel will not be spared by the numerous obstacles in force on the metropolitan road network.

This will be completely closed north, between exit 90 of the highway 20 west in Longueuil and access to rue Hochelaga. It will also be inaccessible in southern direction, between exit 5 and R-132 in Longueuil. These two closures will start at 11 p.m. on Friday, and will be concluded on Saturday, 8 a.m.

On the occasion of the International Loto-Québec Fires, the Jacques-Cartier bridge and its access, in the two directions, will be completely closed Thursday and Sunday, from 8 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.
