Contacted by us, the spokesperson for Siamu Brussels confirms the facts. The fire broke out this Friday morning in an apartment located on avenue Géo Bernier in Ixelles. Brussels firefighters are on the scene to master the flames. It is a house under construction. The fireplace is located in the duplex of the 4th and 5th floor.
Fortunately, thanks to the rapid intervention of firefighters, the spread to neighboring houses was avoided. Four autopumps and two car-scale were dispatched on the spot.
According to the first information communicated by the firefighters, no one injured is to be deplored for the moment. The extinction operation is still in progress. The origin of the claim has not yet been determined at this stage.
