BMW announces for 2026 a new 5 series exclusive to the Canadian market which will be limited to 151 copies.
Called Legacy Edition, this car “was carefully designed for customers who appreciate both inheritance and performance,” said the manufacturer. It does not contain the four -cylinder engine of the current 530i xDrive, but the popular six -cylinder BMW.
The power of 375 horsepower and the torque of 398 LB-PIs are controlled by an automatic transmission with eight speeds and the XDRIVE all-wheel drive system, allowing to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds.

The 540i xDrive Legacy Edition can display any paint including those of the BMW Individual Manufaktur range, such as Maldives Bleu Metallis Illustrated here. Added to this is the whole M Sport Pro Ensemble and the 21 -inch individual wheels. The first includes Shadowline headlights, various black fillings, an illuminated grille and a canon starting function (launch control).
Inside, the car receives the IDRIVE 8.5 infotainment system on a curved interface as well as a Bowers & Wilkins audio channel at 18 speakers.

The BMW 540i xDrive Legacy Edition 2026 can be ordered now. Deliveries are planned in the fall. Please note: the retail price is set at $ 94,500 (costs not included), which represents an increase of $ 8,600 compared to the 550E xDrive version (rechargeable hybrid).
