- A drug network named Happy Mania made 15,000 deliveries in French -speaking Switzerland.
- The survey reveals suspicious transactions totaling 2.58 million francs in profits.
- A green elected representative of the Grand-Saconnex is involved in this major traffic.
The elected affair of the Grand-Saconnexdetained since March 19 as part of a vast drug trafficking, is managed drum beating by the public prosecutor. Two hearings were held this month, on July 10 and 22. On this last occasion, two new defendants now appear in the procedure: it is an Italian standardist and a friend of one of the alleged organizers (a Balkan restaurateur who has been abroad for months). In this case, nine other people, including the green politician, were arrested this spring.
This network, called Happy Maniawould have sold several hundred grams of cocaine every week, de MDMA (synthetic drug) and cannabic products in the canton and all of French -speaking Switzerland. This group, which would be made up of both deliverers, standardists and fundraising would work similarly to a food delivery application like Uber Eats.
15,000 deliveries in one year
According to a recent police report, the investigators got their hands on a file contained in the telephone of a defendant, a Bulgarian cheese. According to investigators, this is an accounting document summarizing the year 2024: more than 15,000 deliveries causing 2.9 million revenues for 309,000 francs in spending. This would give a juicy benefit of 2.58 million francs. Amounts far superior to the 115,000 francs sequestded by justice on March 19 in the canton.
Be that as it may, for investigators, indicates that a handful of defendants including the elected official, her son and her husband, have access to network revenues.
“Against toxic substances”
The prosecutor therefore interviewed suspect her on tens of thousands of francs (8000 in 2022, 67,000 in 2023) which she paid from the UBS agency in Vermont Nations for the benefit of her son. “I had reservations of money at home,” explains the politician by evoking the money she received from her party. There was also money from my son. ”
Amounts from the sale of illicit products? “I have nothing to do with that. I have never even went to nightclubs or in any place where drugs are consumed. […] I have always been against the toxic substances that reach health. ” The elected representative adds to have paid bay car invoices in leasing (Editor’s note: rented vehicles) For his son and other invoices which seemed legitimate.
Important money movements
According to a police report, between 2021 and January 2024, the son’s account was credited with some 591,000 fr. What are the origins of these funds and these movements? “It was the fruit of my work in Dubai (Editor’s note: he declares to win between 10,000 and 15,000 francs per month with his marketing company). I brought money in cash with me. “
In this city of the Gulf, where we pay in cash, he said, he arrived when he was lacking in money that his mother pays him. Nothing related to drugs, he also notes.
A strange night ballet
The elected representative, her husband and her son also had to explain the strange ballet filmed by a surveillance camera in their basement in the Grand-Saconnex. For several days between the end of October and early November, the Bulgarian cheese maker and his brother deposited, sometimes in the middle of the night, envelopes in a Mercedes of the son.
Drug money suspect the investigators. Keys, fines, parking tickets, gray cards and other documents of the genre, ensure the three family members questioned as well as the Bulgarian cheese.
The elected official declares that she and her husband recovered documents and other keys to the request and in the absence of the son. Everything related to his car rental company went through this box while waiting to have an office, he says.
During the searches in various places in the canton, the investigators seized 3.18 kilos of cocaine, 2.14 kilos of cannabic products, 514 Ecstasy pills, 2317 Xanax sachets, more than 50 grams of ketamine and the same amount of MDMA. According to a police report, defendants have also sold vapoteuses as part of Happy Mania. Investigators have been suspecting traffic for several years, relating to more than 20,000 vapoteuses containing THC. Potential turnover would be 1.5 million francs. The name of the entrepreneur, currently abroad, often returns to this vaping -related component.
“Gourbis and Labos”
During the hearing at the beginning of July, defendants were interviewed at storage places, often boxes and other cellars, but also vapoteur production sites. Terms like “lab” or “gourbi” are used in messages entered by police on protagonist phones.
What do these places visited by the police look like? Often in basements: at rue de la Muse in Plainpalais, at Chemin des Sports in the Servette, at rue Maurice-Braillard in Montchoisy, at Château-Banquet in Pâquis, at rue de l’Encyclopédie. But also to apartments in Lignon, rue Liotard, Henri-Golay avenue in Châtelaine and Grand-Saconnex.
Finally, according to the police, it is the famous restaurateur, who was not arrested, who would have found and set up the standard of Happy Mania at avenue De-Liseerna at the Servette.
Most defendants, including the elected representative, his family and the cheese maker, dispute the alleged facts. They are all alleged innocent.
“Inhuman conditions”
Lawyer for the elected son, Me Robert Assaël believes that these police investigations do not incominate his client “except to overly sister them as the police do, in the absence of evidence. He proclaims his innocence and saw his unjust detention extremely badly, moreover under unworthy and inhuman conditions, which contravene the European Convention on Human Rights. “
Defender of one of the defendants suspected of working for Happy Mania, Me Dina Bazarbachi reacts: “For my client, this case has untenable proportions insofar as he simply worked to make computer programs without knowing the use of said programs. He claims his innocence and is collateral damage. ”
Cheese lawyer, Me Svetlana MAKSIMOVIC specifies that her principal refutes the accusations brought against him “insofar as he disputes any involvement in drug trafficking in what a way. For the surplus, it benefits from the presumption of innocence. ”
