A management report that points to packs and inflation among managers
In its 2024 management report, BE TV stresses that “the number of BE TV products integrated into VOO packs (Giga Max packs) has decreased”. In addition, “general inflation in 2024 also had an impact on rights and production but the risk on cost control is under control.”
“The vast majority of BE TV customers have nevertheless been loyal”, positive this report.
The popularity of the illegal IPTV in Wallonia and Brussels reshapes the landscape
Under these conditions, what future is the Be TV?
“Be TV is at the heart of our historical strategy,” said Xavier Pichon, CEO of Orange Belgium. “It is an extremely important asset that we bought in Nethys. However, the ecosystem surrounding Be TV changes. Television is a market that loses active users, which suffers from the piracy used massively, moreover a little more in the historic area of Voo.”
To formulate it differently, Be TV would suffer from competition from the illegal IPTV, more particularly in Wallonia and Brussels.

More visibility on the BE TV strategy at the end of 2025 or early 2026
Another element to take into account at the time of sketching the future of Be TV: the loss of French -speaking exclusivity of English football (Premier League), which feared and presented as a risk the 2024 management report.
“Our global market analysis is not yet complete enough to define our strategy with BE TV”, tempers Xavier Pichon. “It continues to move in the sports ecosystem, especially with national football. It is therefore impossible for the moment to adopt a final posture. This is a subject to which we will most certainly come back at the end of the year or at the start of next year.”
