Like what to be faithful can bring big: a Greek taxi driver is rewarded by Mercedes for all the kilometers traveled with his car from a 1976 model from the automotive company.
Gregorio Sachinidis has risen in the list of the longest kilometers ever recorded on a particular vehicle, the Moto Moto magazine reported.
On board its Mercedes 240 D, the man has traveled a total of 4.6 million kilometers, the equivalent of about 114 times around the planet Earth.
The owner had acquired his vehicle in 1981 in Germany before transferring it to Thessaloniki, Greece, where he used it as a taxi until July 2004, was indicated on the Mercedes-Benz website.

His feat did not go under the radar of the automotive company which wanted to reward him for his loyalty to his brand by offering him a brand new Mercedes of Class C.
Only downside: the taxi driver had to make the car he had had for almost 50 years in exchange.
Mr. Sachinidis finally accepted the offer and his faithful Mercedes is now exhibited at the Mercedes-Benz museum in Stuttgart in Germany, where visitors can testify to the sustainability of the automotive brand.
