Around 5 pm on the D928, at the Quesnoy-en-Artois level, a “front accident took place between a car and a heavyweight”, wrote the prefecture in a press release.

“Three people died, two of whom are two children, one person is in absolute emergency helicopter at the Lille hospital center”, while a fifth, more slightly injured, was hospitalized in Arras, continues the prefecture, which does not wish to specify the age of the children and the links between the victims.
The emergency services were particularly mobilized. “Forty-five firefighters, a dozen SAMU agents as well as fifteen gendarmes” intervened. In the middle of the evening, the departmental road remained blocked in both directions of traffic.
