111 Cartridges drawn: called for a fire of garbage cans in Limoges, police officers attacked by around fifty individuals

The night of July 14 was agitated in the Val de l’Arrence, a city of Limoges (Haute-Vienne). Called for a garbage fire around midnight, police crews were received by around fifty individuals, who threw Molotov cocktails for them and targeted them with mortar and stones. According to our information, two police officers were injured.

To get out of this ambush, the police retaliated with LBD shots, grenades of de-entering. In all, 111 ammunition was fired.

On the spot, in the heart of this priority district of Limoges, mortars and Molotov cocktails were found by the police. A container filled with fuel was discovered hidden in a trash can. Investigators recovered clues to possibly identify the perpetrators of the trap.

Wounded by a mortar shot in his helmet, a policeman suffers from tinnitus on the right ear. Another was injured in the tibia by a stone throw.

Last September, in the Zup of Val d’Arrence, the shooting of a rap clip and a refusal to comply had riots. The clashes between police and residents had lasted several hours.
