7 departments concerned, the sectors which will be particularly affected

Saturday July 19, 2025, at the start of the day, some thunderstorms woke up the Tarn, the Lot and the Aveyron. The Castres-Mazamet sector has been well watered, and even undergone some hailstorms. A few thunderclaps were also heard in Haute-Garonne.

A more marked storm degradation

This will be repeated this Sunday, July 20, with this time a more organized storm degradationand more marked on Occitania.

This Saturday evening, Météo France Place 7 departments of the Occitanie region under surveillance. Tarn-et-Garonne, Tarn, Aveyron, Hérault, Gard, Lozère and Haute-Garonne are placed in Yellow vigilance with thunderstorms.

First in Tarn and Aveyron

Some departments such as Lozère, Gard, Hérault, Tarn and Aveyron would be struck in the afternoon, particularly the Cévennes, the Espinouse massif, Monts-de-Lacaune, Lévezou, Larzac and Aubrac. It is in the departments of Lozère and Aveyron that thunderstorms would be the most violent, with potentially good rainy precipitation.

For the end of the day in Haute-Garonne

In Haute-Garonne, stormy degradation is expected for the end of Sunday, around 8 p.m. It would particularly concern the northern half of the department.
