A 15 -year -old boy embarked in bad flight to Menorca and landed in Italy without his family

Staying in Minorca, a Spanish island of the Balearic Sea, this British family had a return of an eventful vacation. Indeed, this Monday, one of its members, a 15 -year -old boy separated from his family at Mahon’s busy airport, did not board his loved ones in his return flight for London, but on a plane to Milan, Italy, reported The Guardian.

Not managing to find their son, the boy’s parents gave the alert, and after viewing the video surveillance images of the airport departure area, the police discovered that the boy had managed to embark on a flight to Milan Malpensa without a ticket.

“The agents checked the cameras in the departure zone and found that the teenager had managed to embark on a flight to Milan. The airport had already activated its missing children’s alert system, but it was disabled after confirmation that the boy was on his way to Italy, “said a spokesperson for the National Police of Mallorca (the main island of the archipelago).

“We investigate the airport”

During the flight, the airline staff noticed the presence of a passenger without a ticket on board. Easyjet said that the passenger had been welcomed by his staff and local authorities in Milan and that a family member had come to pick him up. The teenager’s mother indeed found his son this Monday after having in turn embarked for Italy.

“The passenger was welcomed by our team and the local authorities in Milan, and we organized the trip of a family member to find him that day,” said an Easyjet spokesperson.

The company ensures the investigation “with the airport and (sound) assistance provider in stopover in Mahon to find out how a young passenger was able to travel alone on the bad flight to Milan”. “We stay in touch with the family to support them,” adds the spokesperson.
