A terrible drama. On Thursday, a 5-year-old boy who was missing at Lake Arena in Roquebrune-sur-Argens, in the Var, was found dead by the gendarmerie divers.
The little boy’s body, a member of a siblings of four children according to information by Azur, was found a few meters from the edge. His trace had been lost in the middle of the afternoon. His family, on vacation, first looked for him on his own before contacting the gendarmerie.
Divers mobilized
A disturbing disappearance notice had been issued on the social networks of the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS) of the Var, which has since been removed. An important research system has been deployed: around twenty soldiers have been engaged with specialized means.
Drones flew over the research area, while divers and cynophile teams were mobilized on the ground. The firefighters were also present.
