The little boy drowned on Friday in a body of water unloaded for swimming but close to a play area during an outing in Moulins of his holiday colony managed by the town hall of Bobigny, in the Seine-Saint-Denis.
“No swimming was planned” and the lake adjoining the play area is “a small lake that is not set up for swimming,” confirmed Mr. Piques.
The small victim stayed with her brother and 33 other children from August 4 to 18 at the Château de Souys, owned by the city of Bobigny, located in Saint-Menoux, about ten kilometers from Moulins.
The colony has eight supervisors, but only “four to six” were present at the time of the drama, according to the prosecutor.
