A 9 -year -old Quebec girl, who has been missing since Saturday and the subject of an amber alert, was found dead on Sunday in Ticonderoga, in New York.
According to first information, the New York State police (NYSP) received a call just before 10 p.m. Saturday from Luciano Frattolin, a Montreal entrepreneur, concerning the disappearance of his daughter, Melina Frattolin, 9, evoking a possible kidnapping near the 22 exit from I-87 to Lake George.
Throughout the investigation, the police “identified inconsistencies in the story of the father’s events and in the chronology he provided,” read the NYSP press release.

It was New York State Forest Guards and Canine and Air Units of the New York State police, who found the deceased child.
“Right now, nothing indicates that an abduction has taken place and there is no threat to the public,” he said.
The investigation was transferred to the New York State police to understand the circumstances surrounding this drama. No arrest has been announced at the moment. A police press conference is to take place on Monday to take stock.
