A family hike turned into a nightmare on Saturday in the northwest of Arkansas. According to ABC News and a press release from Arkansas State Police (ASP), Clinton David Brink (43) and his wife Cristen Amanda Brink (41) were killed on a Devil’s Den State Park path while walking with their 7 and 9 years old. The children, unscathed but shocked, were entrusted to relatives, while the community of Prairie Grove, where the family had just settled, is in shock.
Investigators speak of a double homicide and track down a white man of average corpulence, seen leaving the park behind the wheel of a black Mazda whose plate was masked by adhesive tape. He wore dark pants, a long -rolled sleeve shirt, a cap, sunglasses and a black backpack.
Photos, videos … Visitors and residents mobilized
“We use all the resources to apprehend this suspect and court it,” said Colonel Mike Hagar of the ASP. The authorities ask visitors and residents to check their photos, videos and security cameras without publishing them on social networks. The crime area remains curly, and the bodies have been transferred to the state’s medico-legal laboratory to determine the precise causes of death.

In a statement relayed by ABC News, the family praised the memory of Clinton and Cristen, “dead by hero protecting their daughters”. Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders assured that “the police will not rest before the culprit is arrested”, while the state has strengthened the police presence in his parks.
