A cyclist dies following a collision with a vehicle in Napierville

A man in the forties of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu died of his injuries after colliding with a car, in Montérégie, Monday morning.

The accident took place around 10:15 am on the Saint-André row in Napierville between a cyclist and a car.

The man who was by bicycle was taken to the hospital where the doctors tried to revive him. His death was found on the scene, said the spokesman for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), Louis-Philippe Ruel.

The lady who was driving the car was not injured.

The Saint-André rank where the collision took place was closed for a good part of the day to allow the police to carry out an investigation.

A collision reconstitutionist agent analyzed the scene in order to understand what was able to cause the accident.

According to information from the SQ, nothing suggests that this is a criminal act.
