A documentary retraces the use by France of the chemical weapon in Algeria

With Claire Billet, the director of the documentary “Algeria, special weapons sections”, broadcast in the hut of the century, on the digital platform of France 5. This film is based on the research carried out by the historian Christophe Lafaye and the archives which he gathered.

By extending his investigation with the testimonies of veterans French et Algerian and those of experts in the arms of arms nuclearbiological and chemical, the director Claire Table details the context and the extent of this chemical war. It reveals how managers of the time ordered, tested and used on a large scale of toxic gases to eliminate hidden fighters in the caves.
